During my visit to Washington State, I noticed something different from most places I have been- literally a different coffee shop on every corner. Of course most of the time there were 3 or 4 Starbucks within a mile radius of each other, but that's to be expected since the first Starbucks was in Seattle (which I visited, by the way).
I think I went to Starbucks almost every day I was there, which was awesome, but then I started realizing there were all these other coffee shops around that we don't have back home in Florida, and decided that I should probably try at least one of them before I left. I went to Dutch Brothers coffee, a chain mainly found in the Pacific North West. It is a drive-through only shop, and you don't even order at a box- you drive all the way to the window, where you're greeted by friendly baristas (at least in this case it was that way). I ended up ordering a small nonfat double chocolate mocha, since I am obsessed with the mochas at Starbucks. They made it really quick, and it was deliciously sweet.
While I liked it, I did think it was a little too sweet for my liking. Next time I would probably just order the plain mocha. Also, I still have not found a coffee shop that makes mochas as good as Starbucks does. My favorite drink there is a tall iced non-fat mocha, and no where else can seem to make them as good.
Anyway, it was exciting to try something new, and I hope to get to try more of there drinks in the future.
